St.Patrick’s Catholic Primary School is situated in the Belgrave area of Leicester. The school serves a wide community from many different cultural backgrounds, with a number of families new to the UK. A lot of the children live in rented accommodation, terraced houses or flats with very little or no gardens. Many parents worry about letting their children out to play because of crime in the area. Alderman Newton’s Educational Foundation helped the school purchase large play equipment to make the pupils’ playtimes fun and adventurous!
